Our work is grounded in the belief that health care is a basic human right. We strive to ensure access to quality health services for all, particularly the poor and underserved.
At the same time, we work with governments, local communities, and the private sector to deliver nearly millions of services throughout the Americas and the Caribbean. Nearly 70% of clients who receive these services— which include contraception, cervical cancer screening, and HIV testing— are poor and underserved. We know that millions of individuals depend on us for quality health care, so over 88 cents of every dollar we spend goes directly to programs and services.
You can learn more about our work with governments and donors to secure policies and funding that meet the real-life needs of vulnerable communities in our latest annual report. From mobile health clinics in Bolivia to sexuality education in Guatemala, we work to ensure that every individual had access to the information and services they need to make informed decisions about their health and well-being.
